Best Texas Beers to Serve at Your Next Event

There are plenty of great reasons to host your next event at Southfork Ranch, located in the Dallas Metro Area. From weddings, reunions, holiday parties, to birthday celebrations, a party is not complete without a few local brews present. If you're not from Texas, you might not know just how many high-quality, independent breweries call our state home. When you host an event with us, you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of unique Texas beers to round out your beverage menu. There are options that will please everyone from casual beer drinkers to the most dedicated craft-brewery enthusiasts.

Pride of Texas Pale Ale — Rahr & Sons Brewing Company, Fort Worth

A reliable pale ale is an important addition to any drink menu, and Rahr & Sons Brewery in Fort Worth produces a fine example of the form. The Pride of Texas Pale Ale comes in at 5.8% ABV (alcohol by volume), so it’s not a weak beer by any stretch of the imagination. However, it will please many of your guests thanks to its great balance between hops and malt.

Weisse Versa Wheat — Karbach Brewing Company, Houston

Karbach Brewing Company has only been operating since 2011, but they have quickly made a splash on the Texas beer scene thanks to their diverse line of delicious and unique brews. They also love puns, which you might be able to discern from the name of the Weisse (a German style pronounced similarly to “vice”) Versa Wheat. What makes this beer unique is that it combines attributes from Bavarian hefeweizens with spices typically found in Belgian white ales.

Dallas Blonde — Deep Ellum Brewing Company, Dallas

Sometimes a stereotype is just so fitting that you have to steer into it. That’s what Deep Ellum did when they created this instantly-iconic American blonde ale named after the similarly-famed citizens of Dallas. At Southfork Ranch we may be familiar with big, blonde, 80’s hair, but we also know a great blonde ale when we taste one.

Lost Gold IPA — Real Ale Brewing Company, Blanco

Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, away from the metropolises of the state, Real Ale Brewing Company was recently named the number one craft brewery in Texas by a panel of experts. One of their signature beers is this bright IPA that is sure to please the hop heads at your event. The Lost Gold IPA measures 62.0 IBU (international bitterness units) so it’s a good balance of traditional IPA bitter flavor with more mellow citrus notes.

We’d be glad to assist you each step of the way so that your celebration is one to remember. Contact us today to begin planning your event at Southfork Ranch!
