Kiwanis Butterfly Festival

September 8
. Walk inside the mesh tent filled with hundreds of Texas butterflies. Kids can even feed and interact with the them before they are released into the Texas air. Proceeds will benefit local children’s charities. Tickets start at $5 for kids and $7 for adults.
Dallas Observer BrewFest
Dallas Farmers Market
September 8
annual Dallas Observer BrewFest will be held at the Dallas Farmers Market and will showcase over 500 beers. Plus, check out many different food vendors and listen to live music. Tickets include 12 beer samples, but you can purchase more samples at the event.
Greek Food Festival of Dallas
Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
September 21-23
. Sample handmade food like gyros, lamb sliders, and spanakopita. Greek wine and beer will also be served. Plus, enjoy live entertainment like folk dancing and music. Kids can make a craft or watch a cooking demo. Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will also be open for tours during the festival. Tickets start at $7.
Plano Balloon Festival
Oak Point Park
September 21
. Located next to Southfork Ranch at Oak Point Park, this event is a favorite of Dallas residents. Enjoy music, food, rides, and other activities. Tickets are $5 for kids and $10 for adults.
State Fair of Texas 2018
Fair Park
September 28-October 21
, including Ludacris and Hunter Hayes. You’ll be able to watch college football games, parades, and even see a firework show. Not to mention, all the fried fair food you could possibly want! Ticket options include a family 4-pack, which includes four general admission tickets and 300 food and ride coupons for one low price.
Haggard Park

The diversity of Plano comes to life with unique activities, entertainment, and food at the Plano International Festival. Check out the parade of flags, multicultural dances, and international fashion show. Plus, sample food from around the world. Children’s educational activities will open your children’s eyes to new cultures and teach them the importance of diversity.
Diwali Festival of Lights

Guests will experience traditional and fusion dance performances, Indian street food vendors, the Diya ceremony, and can shop in a traditional bazaar marketplace with many vendors, Henna booths and cultural crafts. With each ticket, you’ll receive a diya that you can light during the ceremony.
